September Meeting Recap

An enormous thank you to award winning, Kay Donges, for the fabulous trunk show and power point presentation on creating her art quilts. Kay and her delightful husband, Henry, reside in Blairsville, GA. She began making art quilts three years ago after retiring from a career in the school system teaching art. Kay was very generous in sharing not only her work but the process she goes through to create them.

The October meeting will be the last GreatFul Threads for the 2016 year. Due to holidays falling the fourth week of November and December, the group does not meet. Program for October will be a sew in and demonstrations on making simple/quick gifts for the holiday season. Members are asked to bring 10-12 kits to share along with directions OR show a demonstration on how to construct it. For example I am bringing mono printed fabric and supplies for making cuff bracelets. If you need inspiration look to Pinterest or seasonal "gift" magazines you find at Barnes and Noble, Books a Million or Joann's. Bring your machine to sew and/or demo your craft. If you have questions contact Jackie Cory or Brenda Cregger.

I apologize for the random order the pics are in below. Hopefully the captions will help.
